Leave the tall can in a paper bag in the past and elevate your pre-game experience with the best restaurants are breweries around AT&T Park.
Look, we love basketball. Hockey is cool, too! But let's be real: there's nothing better than powering through some chow and a few beers while our hometown boys try to blast curveballs into the Bay. It's a gosh darn American pastime, after all. And, if we may be so bold, we also think it's a pastime that's a little more enjoyable after a little pregame action. Drink up and let's play ball!
216 Townsend St // SoMa
Get the party started right with their $6 happy hour featuring well drinks, wine, beer and small plates. We like to double up on orders of the tempura avocado, but the crispy spiced chicken wings and stuffed black mission figs are also impeccable bites.
499 Illinois St // Mission Bay
A farm-to-table restaurant with seasonal and local ingredients, most of which are taken from the organic garden right out back. Just outside of the park's craziness, this spot is the calm before the storm. Patio seating, a bocce ball court, fire pits, and some pretty amazing views of the Bay await.
1 South Park Ave // South Beach
Indulge your inner child at this spot dedicated to the cheesy, carb-loaded American classic. Try the Mousetrap for an elevated version of the old school favorite, or kick things up a notch with something like the Moscone. Lavender basil pesto and olive tapenade, anyone?
500 Brannan St // Mission Bay
This spot serves up some serious American cuisine with a modern, upscale twist. Their masterpiece of a burger includes caramelized onions, melted cheddar, crispy bacon, and horseradish aioli. We'll leave it at that.
563 2nd St // SoMa
Local, house-made brews like the El Sully Mexican Style Lager and Blood Orange Brew Free! Or Die IPA will have you feelin' fine pre- or post-game. Sop up the booze with classic pub fare they have on hand.
69 Bluxome St // Mission Bay
Small-batch brewery in SF crafting original, delicious brews since 2011. All beers on tap are brewed onsite -- made here in SF and always fresh. Their cans can also be found inside the park!
