Strike a Pose: Photo Booths in The Bay

If you're like us, you probably love taking pictures when you go out. And why wouldn't you? You're looking good, you're feeling good, and you're out with your friends. So while we're always going to be fans of taking a few Snapchat selfies on any given night, it's sometimes nice to have a hard copy of our memories. This is where photo booths come in. And we know exactly where to find them.

SAN FRANCISCO

Photo Booth Museum (2275 Market St)

Analog photo booths are alive and well at this list's newest addition. Entry is free and there are no reservations needed for the Photo Booth Museum. Try a bunch of booths but expect lines and wait times.

710 Collective (1644 Haight St)

This place is a one-stop-shop for all your trendy needs. They sell clothes, handmade goods, vinyls, plants, and more! Stop by Club Photomatica at the front of the store for a selection of vintage photo booths to match your new vintage goods.

Musée Méchanique (Pier 45, Shed A)

This retro arcade is perfect if you feel like doing something a little touristy. Located on Fisherman’s Wharf, Musée Méchanique is filled with games from every era you can imagine. Their photo booth is the perfect way to document a step back in time.

Thee Parkside (1600 17th St)

If you like punk and metal, head over to Thee Parkside. This bar has cheap drinks, good music, and is very dog friendly. Basically, it’s the perfect place to take some pics with your pooch in a photo booth.

Columbus Cafe (562 Green St)

Established in 1936, Columbus Cafe is a piece of San Francisco history. Stop by during happy hour to get two for one draft beers and snap some pics in their $5 booth.

Monarch (101 6th St)

Save your phone battery and get your pics from the photo booth the next time you go dancing. We love this booth for one simple but important reason: it’s free. Buy yourself another drink and strike a pose.

Hotel Kabuki (1625 Post St)

This standalone photo booth can be found in the hotel's lobby. It's free and lowkey, so you can snap a photo and be on your way. This option would be great for kids since it's not at a bar or music venue.

EAST BAY

Low Bar

Low Bar (2300 Webster St // Oakland)

Enjoy ambiance and drinks at this bar in Uptown. Make your way over to the photo booth to make memories that you can hang up on your fridge.

Mad Oak (135 12th St // Oakland)

With over 40 beers on tap, Mad Oak is a great place to grab a drink and snap some pics. Stop by on Tuesday night for some trivia.

Lucky 13 (1301 Park St // Alameda)

Stop by if you like drinking, being photographed, and arcade games.

Acme Bar & Company (2115 San Pablo Ave // Berkley)

Whiskey makes us frisky, and when we get frisky we like to take pictures in small spaces.

North Bay

Marin County Mart

Marin County Mart (2257 Larkspur Landing Circle // Larkspur)

Take a trip back in time to this vintage black-and-white photo booth. It may be the best value on the list at $1. Bring quarters!

Rebounderz (555 Rohnert Park Expy West// Rohnert Park)

Check out Rebounderz to play a round of trampoline dodgeball. Once you get tired from all that jumping around, take a break and stop by their photo booth.

Scandia Family Fun Center (5301 Redwood Dr // Rohnert Park)

Bring the kids! Scandia Family Fun Center has bumper cars, mini golf, an arcade, and, of course, a fantastic photo booth.

SOUTH BAY

Potobox

Potobox (434 Great Mall Dr. // Milpitas)

Head to the mall, like you did back in the day, and get ready to smile at Potobox. Their colorful booths, provided accessories, and high angles all help you get the perfect shot.

Round 1 (2200 Eastridge Loop // San Jose)

This family-friendly arcade has plenty of activities for everyone and the photo booths here are similar to the ones you'll find at Pika Pika. Grab the kids and some quarters and go make a memory.

7 Stars Bar & Grill (400 E. Campbell Avenue // Campbell)

This bar is from a galaxy far, far away. Document your love of Star Wars by taking pictures with drinks inspired by characters from the films.

Casino Arcade (400 Beach St // Santa Cruz)

It's never a bad time for a day trip to Santa Cruz. Stroll the boardwalk, play a few games of pinball, and say cheese in Casino Arcade’s photo booth.
