This page is about getting you into advance movie screenings for free.
How it works:
The production studio or local business host a movie screening by providing a code via Gofobo.com or their own production studio screening website. This will allow you admittance to the movie screening for you and sometimes a guest too. Posted here will be links to the "movie landing" where you don't have to enter the code but simply grab a pass for yourself. All you need to do is make an account at www.gofobo.com, www.sonyscreenings.com, www.lionsgatescreenings.com, https://foxsearchlightscreenings.com/, and any other place that may appear in the links. All of these sites are completely free and have never spammed me even after three years of use. I love it!
Where:
Most of these screenings take place at the Century 9 Theater/AMC 16 Theater in SF or at the AMC Mercado 20 in Santa Clara. However there are screenings in other places around the bay. Just look at the pass to verify the city you have the pass for.
Why:
Now you may be asking "why would a production studio let me see their movie for free before it is released when I might pay for it when it comes out?" And that's exactly why. A lot of people are maybes. They want to generate good buzz. At some screenings they have a studio representative there to get quick voluntary reviews after the screening. When Don Jon had an advance screening in SF Joseph Gordon Levitt appeared.
Suggestion:
Most screenings want a booked house so they release more passes than seats available. It is recommended to show up approximately 60-75 minutes prior to the start of screening.
