Via Woods
(530 Haight St // Lower Haight)
Woods' newest addition to the family is this adorable "hidden" garden in Lower Haight. The space is complete with heaters, greenery, and all the beer you can gracefully handle – perfect for a winter night. Plus, you can bring your fur baby to hang out!
(2032 Union St // Marina)
Tropical vibes are a'flowing at Palm House, even on the coldest of nights in the city. Park yourself under a heater, sip on a rum-filled slushy, chow down on some Baja fish tacos, and pretend you're somewhere out in the Caribbean far far away from the fog.

Best believe you're staying toasty out at Zazie. The back patio + the parklet out front are both heated and as charming as can be. Though the mood is right at night, they also serve a mean brunch.

Boasting a great view of the bay, Mission Rock Resort has everything you could ever want in an outdoor patio. Their main draw is their selection of raw oysters, but they've got brunch and plenty of other seafood as well! Fun yellow umbrellas, heat lamps, and views for days are calling your name.

We're all about channeling the island vibes to get through the winter. Anina's patio is super tropical, super cute, and super safe. Complete with plexiglass dividers, heaters, and punch bowls, you're guaranteed to stay toasty. Plus, they have the cutest little parklet!

This Italian-inspired gem in the Marina is perfect for a chill night out. The menu is complete with plenty of cocktails and pizzas to get your through the night, and their parklet has individual booths for each table, so you'll get some privacy while you stay toasty as can be.

Fable's quirky, spacious, and Instagram-worthy heated patio is nestled in between lots of plants and trees, and we're not complaining. Enjoy California wines and cuisines, and get a little lost in wonderland during your next brunch, all while staying nice and warm.

A nice parklet is key for operating a popular restaurant, but a heated parklet ... now that's the golden ticket. Wildseed has parklets on either side of its bustling corner, and they're complete with heat lamps to keep you (and your food) toasty during your visit.
(2534 Mission St // Mission)
Even on a cold night in San Francisco, this patio is warm and inviting. Tables are nestled between buildings in an area draped with lights, and old films are projected on one of the brick walls. With an ever-evolving menu and a cozy environment, this restaurant offers the perfect escape from the bustle of the Mission.
(974 Valencia St // Mission)
This Jaliscan-Californian fusion joint lights up the neighborhood on any chilly day. From tacos to empanadas to ceviche, it's tough to go wrong with Loló's menu. They don't take reservations, so show up early and ready to eat!

Imagine this: snuggling up outside with a nice cold beer and a slice of your favorite pizza on a chilly Berkeley evening. Jupiter makes your dreams a reality with its large outdoor patio equipped with a fire pit and heat lamps! It's the perfect setting for a low-key romantic night out.

Take in the waterfront while you enjoy a creatively topped wood-fired pizza at this Jack London Square restaurant. Sit around a fire pit, do some people watching, and order a beer from their rotating list of local brews. We hear the cheese curds are a favorite!

This lovely Italian eatery's heated outdoor patio is fantastic for a meal with friends or a romantic get together, thanks to the lighting and beautiful design. Be sure to order one of their signature cocktails to pair with your generous portion of pasta!
(2325 Broadway // Oakland)
Drake's has a super homey outdoor space that's an excellent place to share some laughs and some drinks. With 32 beers on tap, there's something for everyone. Winter gloom is no match for this setup — their tables are separated by partitions and each has its own heater.
(6702 Hollis St // Emeryville)
Prizefighter's back patio covered, heated, and adorable, making it the perfect place for a drink + catch up. Though small, there's plenty of seating, and you can even make a reservation in advance if you want to be sure to snag a spot.
(1611 2nd Ave // Oakland)
There's clearly no shortage of good views when it comes to dining outdoors in the East Bay. Portal has a gorgeous view of Lake Merritt, and a heated patio that's great for watching the boats go by. Order what they fondly call "Garbage Bread" and a beer, and you're set for the evening.
North Bay

Luna Blu's heated patio is right on the water, giving it that extra ambiance that makes for incredible dining. In addition to their heat lamps, they also offer blankets for colder nights. Order fresh-baked bread and a steaming bowl of risotto – it doesn't get any cozier than that!

Don't let the name fool you, this is not actually a fancy French garage. It is, however, an exquisite French bistro that boasts beautiful views of the Bay from its heated patio! Sit amongst the sailboats and enjoy one of the best meals you've had in a good while.

Stop and smell the flowers and the freshly made corn tortillas at this fuego Mexican joint. Their huge outdoor terrace is filled with sunshine and heat lamps, so it's the ideal place to sip on a margarita and enjoy some tacos as the bay breeze flows by.

Run, don't walk, to this to-die-for (award winning) sushi spot. The patio has an abundance of heat lamps, so you'll be delightfully comfy as you feast on sushi, tasty Japanese plates, and incredible desserts. Be sure to make a reservation if you don't want to wait for a table.
South Bay + Peninsula

INDO's large outdoor area includes a covered patio and heat lamps aplenty, so you'll have plenty of room to spread out and chow down. Their menu features craft cocktails and fab Indonesian eats like Yellow Chicken Curry and Wok Fried Eggplant.
(3086 N Cabrillo Hwy // Half Moon Bay)
After a long drive, winter hike, or day of chasing waves, this gem is sure to fuel you back up with farm to barn burgers and beers. If their vegan lentil soup or Marin Sun Farms Chili isn't enough to keep you warm, their cozy outdoor patio has plenty of heaters and blankets for all. They're closed for now, but plan to reopen in January 2023 — mark your calendars!

If you're looking to grab a late-night drink and don't want to freeze outside, stop by Barrelhouse! This neighborhood bar features a great back patio equipped with heat lamps just in case your winter cocktail doesn't already make you feel all warm inside.

This Half Moon Bay restaurant sits right on the coast, which means it has some pretty expansive ocean views. It sure gets chilly on the water, but Sam's is prepared with abundant heaters. It also doesn't hurt that they serve up some of the best seafood in the Bay.

This inviting outdoor beer garden has tons of seating, well-placed heat lamps, and several fire pits to snuggle up around. Grab a flight, a bite, and enjoy the great outdoors. They rotate their beers often, but you can always take your favorites to go in a crowler or growler.

Stop by this Italian restaurant to catch some top-tier bruschetta and live jazz on the patio. The tented seating area is great for those who want to sit outside and enjoy the crisp San Mateo air while staying nice and warm too. Vine, wine, and dine!
